Examples Used in this Guide

   

Numerous examples exist in this Guide.  Unless other information is provided in those examples, the following information is used in these examples.

 

Photography Site Name - The name of the photography business will be My Domain in order to keep consistency with a generic domain name.
Domain Name - The domain of the examples will by myDomain.
Web Site - The web site of the examples will be http://www.myDomain.com
Web Server - The web server will be a Suse Linux server running Apache and PHP.
Web Site [Directory] - The web site or web site directory will be htdocs/myDomain.  This will also be the root directory of the web site.
FTP Site - The FTP Site will point to the root directory of the Web Site.

The internet service is assumed to be a DSL service with a local area carrier.  The DSL service is assumed to limit the type of email traffic out of networked computers within the DSL network.  Thus, email services used in conjunction with the examples will be SMTP forwarded through the DSL service and customized to the Domain Name email.

Examples Using Outdoor Images Fine Art© Web Site

Some images and examples contained here will use the Outdoor Images Fine Art© web site.  This is done to show some techniques in use by the author.  There is no connection between the My Domain examples and the live site work at http://www.outdoorimagesfineart.com.  If you view http://www.outdoorimagesfineart.com then the site pages you see may be different from those shown in this Guide.
